Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for all the Birthday comments. I had a nice birthday. It was nine ball night, so the team went to this bar in Pattaya, and we got beat bad…oh well. After that we went back to the Flying Dolphins for a party and birthday cake (Thanks Harv an Na). Harvey, On, Sage, Oi, Na and me all came back to my place after that. It must have been fun, cuz I didn’t get up til 3:00 PM today.

Harvey and I are both coming back to LA around the 15th of December. We haven’t booked tickets yet, but our rough schedule is to spend about a week and a half in LA, then go to Whidbey Island for Christmas and New Years, after that back to LA til mid month, then back to Thailand. Hopefully I can see everybody, and take care of some business in that time.

Oh yeah…I’m flying back to LA rather than going the long way around (via Europe), which would be actually “around the world”. Once again, oh well….someday…I’ll get all the way around. Maybe that’s what I should call the blog “Mikey goes round the world…someday”.

Back in Paradise.....

I had to renew my Visa so I went on a long ass taxi ride to the Cambodian border. On the way back Na ani I have stopped at Koh Samed (island) to meet up with her sister and her sister's husband. It's Ning's (Na's sister) birthday tomorrow, so were here to help her celebrate. I'll post some pictures once I get back to Jomtien, but this place is beautiful....I'm so lucky to be here....

I’m a Gemologist!!!

I just got my results for the last of my classes….I got a double A. That’s an A on the written exam, and an A in the laboratory exam! I’ve practically dislocated my shoulder patting myself on the back. It’s been a long six months, but now it’s just another notch in my belt…(literally, I think I’ve gained about ten pounds). Sitting behind a microscope is not an aerobic activity. I’ve been running my ass of getting ready for this exam, and getting my jewelry line produced and shipped to Destiny. Yesterday I took the exam in the morning, and sent the jewelry out in the afternoon, so I get to take a little break.

Now you know why I haven’t been posting much….I’ll try to post more now that I have the time. Today I’m packing up and heading for Jomtien….it’s so nice to be done…
