I’m a Gemologist!!!

I just got my results for the last of my classes….I got a double A. That’s an A on the written exam, and an A in the laboratory exam! I’ve practically dislocated my shoulder patting myself on the back. It’s been a long six months, but now it’s just another notch in my belt…(literally, I think I’ve gained about ten pounds). Sitting behind a microscope is not an aerobic activity. I’ve been running my ass of getting ready for this exam, and getting my jewelry line produced and shipped to Destiny. Yesterday I took the exam in the morning, and sent the jewelry out in the afternoon, so I get to take a little break.

Now you know why I haven’t been posting much….I’ll try to post more now that I have the time. Today I’m packing up and heading for Jomtien….it’s so nice to be done…

Hi everyone!!! Well I guess this is where I will stay in touch with many of you now...not just Harvey and Mikey anymore, now Alex and Jenny too. I miss you all so much. Things are going great here. Louise is great and very hostpitable. I know we're going to be fast friends. I found my house though!! OMG...I love it so much. It's a older house at the end of a culdisac (sp?) and has a green belt with a creek in the back that has stairs going down to it. 5 bedrooms....3 upstairs for me and my kids and 2 down for Jamie and Robert and the baby to rent out. There's plenty of room for anyone that wants to come visit too!!!! 2800 square feet worth. It was on the market for 298,000 (but started out in August at 310,000) and I offered 280,000... I just got a call from my realtor expecting a counter offer, and no such thing. They accepted!! So we might be able to move in on the 17th...if everything goes according to plan. So wish me luck.

Congrats Mikey on becoming a gemologist! Whatever you set your mind to, I know you can do. You've proven it over and over again. I hope that when you visit L.A. that you make a pit stop out here to visit your family here. I hope that you consider it. Because we love you and miss you...Louise says there's no hoping, that you're just coming!! So there!

Hearts, Dorri

Thanks for the Kudos...

I'm glad you all made it up there safe. I heard on the news about a big storm, and was worried about you.

How far is it from Dorri's to Louise's? The house sounds great Dorri!

Hi Jenny, and Alex....

So we are in Escrow officially now. Hopefully everything will move along smoothly. Although I love Whidbey Island. Marysville is about 90 minutes away on the drive over Deception Pass...we timed it yesterday. We'll visit here often, I'm sure. 90 minutes is nothing when you're running away from rain! It's cloudy and cold today, but not raining. And I'm sure it's raining on the main land. Louise has a gorgeous view from my bedroom window too. I mean, WOW!

Jen I totally miss you too. There's no one to get into trouble with me around here. I've had one freakin drink since I've been out here... talk about your cold turkey. Plus I just miss you and stuff.

Alex, thanks for your call last night...it makes it feal like I'm really not that far away. Hella miss you too.

And as for you Harvey and Mikey, well I'm use to missing you. Louise was talking about paying a bill or something for you out here and I told her if he want's to pay it so bad he can come out here him damn self and pay it! Hehe... kidding, but not really. =p

Love to you all!

I am sorry I haven't posted in so long. My home phone and internet has been shut down for 15 days now I go to the phone office every day and Aon complains. They say the same thing every day. "there is someone working on it right now"
I am going to stop taking showers and stage a one man sit-in in the managers office tommorow. I asked him today if he is going to adjust my bill for the days I didn't have service and he said sorry no! This is not America! If you order food in a restaraunt in Thailand and a bug crawls out of it they will pick it out for you and charge you the same, or they will leave it in and charge you extra. There are allot of things to frustrate you here but all in all it still rocks!
(don't eat the chicken!) I want to say congrats to Dorrijamierobert on a smooth move and mikey on finishing school. I do miss you all even though it may not seem like it with my absence from the blog, especially ALeX! Im sorry I have not sent enough love your guys way but I do think about you allot. I talk to Aon about you all the time. Thank you Dorri for the email. When I get my internet back up I will open that attachment you sent me. The internet shops here make it very hard to deal with attachments. all the operating programs are in Thai. I am still plugging away at my place and will send some pictures when I get fixed.

Hi Harvey!! So glad to hear from you. I hope you can get that attachment open, I think you'll get a kick out of it. I have to say we've been throwing around stories about you here too. Your mom loves the fact that we love you too...she can tell her friends about you all she wants, but to have someone around that can throw stories back about you is a real thrill for her. She's so cute all the time. I'm adopting her and she's adopting me, so there ya go harvey... I didn't jump in line ahead of you...Mikey is now my uncle and you're my older brother! I love being a Sims! lol.

Anyways, I got the inspection done on my house and there's only two things I'm asking for them to fix. All and all the inspector said that they took very good care of the house. We went there and hung out in it for a few hours while it was being inspected and Jamie, Robert and I are all in love with it. I can see the potential...we're already thinking up of guest areas for all the visits we will receive. I'm a bit homesick now, but the house keeps my spirits up. Love all around to everyone!

Love, Dorri
