Bangkok Party

Na is with me in Bangkok this week. Her sister Ning came thru Bangkok on her way back home, so they were making dinner last night when Harvey called to say he and On were in Bangkok as well. Without planning anything I had a little dinner party at my Bangkok apartment. Na’s sister Ning is a great cook, and the food was really good. Tonight Harv and On and Na and I are going to go to Patpong…..a social life in Bangkok!…..what a concept.

Blackout

I was typing a comment and the power went out....blackout...creepy.....but it came back...but I lost everything I wrote dammit...hmmm something about Kern...Oh yeah I totally wanted to jump on a plane last year and join you, but I didn't. I have a lot more keeping me here this year...maybe next year.

Thurston seems like he's OK. Harvey has him on special food, and he's getting extra love from everybody. He came to the bar last week, and they even let Harv bring in Thurstons bed.

Real stones huh? You mean that in a "non synthetic" way, or a perverted Jenny way? Speaking of real stones, I just bought a bunch of ruby and sapphire (pictures to come). Now that I have some I'm thinking about selling it. I'll know more about ebay selling later in the week when my auctions end, but I also wanna network with LA. So you guys, who else do we know besides Destiny (already emailed her) that sells or makes jewelry? Any thoughts……If I find people to sell to in LA I'd be coming to town alot more....

Sorry No post……

I’ve been keeping myself pretty busy. This is the second week of my colored gems class, and this is the stuff I really want to learn, so school is really cool. Last week Na stayed with me in Bangkok, so somehow I just never got around to posting. I’m here myself this week, so I can do more than just keep up with my reading for school….and Na.

I put my first stone up for auction on ebay. It’s a fairly simple add, but I’ll see how I do and change what I need to.

So you girls went out Friday…did you go to Lucy’s? I’m still craving the Mexican food. I saw Mexican restaurant in Patpong…maybe I’ll go check it out…tacos in Patpong hmm……

Singapore visa run....

Well last night I decided to change my plans. Instead of going to Cambodia, I decided to go to Taco Bell. Ever since I heard that they had Taco Bell in Singapore I've been wanting some. I really miss Mexican food, even fast food. Last night I decided to go for it. There are really cheap flights from Bangkok to Singapore, so it only cost about thirty bucks more than the bus ride to Cambodia. After a bit of internet surfing I had a ticket, and a general idea of where Taco Bell is in Singapore. They have a pretty advanced subway system, so although I only had 4 and a 1/2 hours on the ground, I thought I could make it there, eat, and get back to the airport in time. Well friends, I failed. It took me four trains and nearly two hours to get to where Taco Bell is, and I couldn't find it.....so sad. I had to settle for some Mrs. Fields cookies, and head back to the airport. Right now I'm writing this on my pocket pc as I take off in Singapore....Well, were actually taxiing down the runway and the flight attendants are doing the safety dance....please turn off all electronic devices...... Well now were in the air, I'm a bit dissapointed that I couldn't find Taco Bell, but I plan to mount another expedition next month. I have to go to a Thai embassy to apply for my education visa, so I'll go find it then. I'll have to wait a couple days for the visa, so I'm sure I'll find it. In the meantime if any of you eat some Mexican food, remember your deprived friend on the other side of the world.

Off to Cambodia…….

Today I took my last exam in diamond grading. Tomorrow I have the day off, so I get to go on a visa run……That’s when you go all the way to the Cambodian border walk across turn around and go back to Thailand. Wooooohoooo 12 hours in a bus….I sure hope it’s a nice bus. It’s supposed to have DVDs, and be real nice but I guess I’ll see tomorrow.

Well You must have seen the pictures of the stones I bought by now. It’s not just so I could show Jenny my “jewels”, I planning to auction them on ebay. So I’ve been learning how to take pictures of really little shinny things…not so easy, but I’m getting better. These stones are from Burma, and they haven’t been treated in any way (that’s kinda rare nowadays). Soon I’ll get an idea whether that way of selling them will work. I hope so.

Wanna buy a rock?

Done with diamonds

Hey everybody. It’s so cool to read your comments. I haven’t been posting all that much, but I check to see if any of you have everyday. In fact I found out about Thurston being sick on the blog, cuz I’m in Bangkok all week. I just got back from Pattaya this morning, and he seems to be doing fine, but he’s really acting like an old dog now. Harvey is coming to Bangkok this week to have another vet look at him. Hopefully they’ll be able to help him out.

So I finish my diamond course in the next couple days. I start a class on colored stones on Friday. I’m taking final exams tomorrow and the next day. I’m keeping myself pretty busy, but I gotta say that I’m really, really happy. School is good, my new girlfriend Na is wonderful, and I just love Thailand. I hope things are good with you guys too….I gotta get back to studying….
