Back to Cambodia

It's visa renewal time again, so I'm off to Phnom Penh tomorrow. Hopefully I'm gonna get a three month Education Visa while I'm there. I made a couple of calls, and got a room reservation at my favorite hotel, and the low down on what's happening in Phnom Penh. I heard they closed Heart of Darkness because some Khmer guy got killed there. Heart is a semi gay late night disco that was always crowded after 2 or 3 AM. It's listed on the US state departments web site as a no-go establishment. It was never my favorite club, but I went there occasionally. Well, cuz Heart of Darkness (or "hot dog" if you're Khmer) is closed, Martini, my favorite club is jumping. That should be entertaining. It's always fun when everybody is hanging out at the same club. I've met more Americans in Cambodia than anywhere else I've been in Asia.

Oh yeah....Harvey and I moved out of the house in Jomtien last weekend. I moved to a One bedroom condo down the beach in Jomtien, and Harvey moved to his new place in Pattaya. I still haven't made it over there, but the pictures look cool.

Rock star #2 says...

Hi Mikey and (hopefully Harvey). Well things are starting to take off over here. I got a real estate agent who's helping me out to see my place. The problem I'm having right now is that the place is still in my grandma's name!! That's like two owners ago. So I'm going through all my freakin paperwork (and trust me, it's a mountain of it) to find all relavant paperwork. This place was part of the probate though, so I shouldn't be worried, right? (comfort me). Ok as for the other stuff, we've just been having fun. Hope you both love your new places!!

Love You!
Dorri

Hey you's guys,
I have made two posts since the last post that was published but
they didn't seem to make to print.
So I hope I am not typing into space write now. Question: If you type out an email and nobody reads it did you realy do it? Or did it make a sound besides rata tat tat?
I am at an internet cafe right now. I don't think I am going to have my DSL for a few weeks becaue it has to be moved to my new house.
We are totaly camping right now. We have the bedroom painted and have a dust free inviroment going there but the rest of the place is a dust bowl. I am putting big water holding tanks on the roof right now and another sunk into the floor in the shop w/a 3hp pump to send it up to the roof. The city right now (from what I can tell) is giving us water about 3 days a week. So most water systems here have a large amount of water storage to hold you over. If you really get in trouble you have to have a truck come and fill you up thus the tank sunk in the floor so they can drive up and fill. All the tile is almost finished and the plastering is coming right along. I had them paint the bedroom and that was about enough! they are really good w/the rough stuff but I think if I would let them put some m-80's in the paint cans and they just clean the floor after, that would be the hieght of technique. What a mess! Anyway I am heading to Lao next week, On's family lives in Udon thani up near the border. I did my visa run there last time and met a guy who will get me a 90 day visa like Mikey is going to get just not a student visa. Only 1400 baht(about $35) and an 8 hour drive and no more border runs for a while. Oh I don't really want to make anybody jealous but we found this big massage place about a 1/4 mile up the road from us that does Thai massage for 100baht($2.50) an hour the only catch is you have to go for two hours to get that rate. Oh the sacrafices! and no there is no happy finish. except for this post.
Love you all
Harvey

Dorri, wouldn't your Probate attorney, or trustee for your grandfathers estate have all that stuff?
