From the top of the Castle…

I had to check out where the guys installed drains and conduit in the upper towers today. So I got my phone out and took some pictures for you guys. As you can see it’s nice and sunny here in Hong Kong. The photo quality isn’t that great. I couldn’t tell when I was up there, but my lens wasn’t very clean. You can see that this place still has a very long way to go. When I first got here I thought this job was really tough, and I wasn't sure if I was the right guy for it, but as I got to talking to the other people on the project I realized that everybody is having a tough time. Doing this kind of project in China is quite ambitious and not long ago probably downright impossible. Anyway at least the atmosphere with the Disney people has changed they have become supportive and encouraging rather than kind of aloof like they started. I think they have decided they want me to stay. Who knows, for whatever reason the atmosphere at work is better.

I had such a nice time in Thailand last weekend. Harvey’s house is a welcome change from living in a hotel. I really didn’t go out that much, just dinner and a movie Friday and dinner on Saturday night, but I really didn’t have to. Hanging out with Paew was really good for my state of mind. It’s pretty lonely for me here in Hong Kong, so it was good to get some TLC. She’s good at that. Harvey, On seems like she misses you. She only stayed with us for a little while. Most of the time she stayed with mama.

I’m going to keep on traveling every few weeks. I already have tickets to fly to Phnom Penh at the end of the month. That’s gonna be a wild weekend. Phnom Penh is a blast, and I get to see Bhopa. Wooooooohooo 19 days to go……
